Norman Rockwell models share their memories of working for the late artist in a special high tea to be held in Pittsfield’s Crowne Plaza Hotel, on Thursday, April 3, beginning at 4 pm Celebration of the life and career of Norman Rockwell, the event will include appearances by Wray Gunn, who poses as one of the young boys in Rockwell’s classic civil rights era painting “New Kids in the Barrio “(1967); Julie Martino, the model for a series of advertisements for the illustrator created compared Gas Florida in the 1970’s, and Betsy Manning, a neighbor of the deceased artist, who modeled for advertising illustrations for Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance and Saturday night memorable Post cover “Girl Lack of teeth” (1957). Norman Rockwell Museum curators also responsible for presenting a talk on Rockwell illustrated, a preview of upcoming events Museum, and a special selection of the Museum of production documentary “inspiration: Norman Rockwell in Stockbridge.” The High Norman Rockwell Tea costs $ 18 per person and includes tea, light fare, service and parking.
